The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency is a Federal law enforcement agency in Nigeria which is served under the Federal Ministry of Justice given the tasks of curbing the growing, processing, producing, selling, exporting, and trafficking of hard drugs.

NDLEA Salary Structure based on Ranks

The Salary structure was created based on the Consolidated Para-Military Salary Structure (CONPASS).

Let’s start with the NDLEA graduate staff who are automatically placed at the Grade of Level 8 Step 1, they receive around N888,956 every year (prior tax deduction). This puts their monthly salary at N75,000.

For HND certificate holders who are placed at the Grade Level 7 Step 1, they receive around N483,353 per year prior to taxes deductions – this is according to NDLEA data.

It is also a must to take note of other allowances NDLEA Staffs stand to enjoy based on their rank and their influence in the Agency, the benefits are mentioned below:

Level 8 Step 1 = CONPASS N888,956 + Yearly Rent Allowance N115,849 = N1,004,805 (total annual salary) resulting N83,733 per month.

For HND certificate holders at the Grade Level 7 Step 1 receives:

Level 7 Step 1 = CONPASS N483,014 + Yearly Rent Allowance 92,273 = N573,287 (total annual salary) resulting N44,773 per month.

The above is the calculation of how the salaries of NDLEA staff based on levels are calculated alongside their allowances.

It is important to note that NDLEA staff do enjoy other allowances apart from the ones mentioned above and this varies depending on the rank of each staff.
