About NSCDC
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is a paramilitary institution in Nigeria that was established in May 1967 by the Nigerian Government with the aim and vision of protecting the country against threats and attacks or disasters. This is to protect the citizens of the country and keep the security of the country tight.

The act was amended in 2007, NSCDC was first introduced in May 1967 during the Nigerian Civil war within the former Federal Capital Territory of Lagos.

Conclusion on the Nigeria Civil Defence Salary Structure
As mentioned earlier, the salary of an officer in the Civil defence depends on their rank and promotions based on the COMPASS payment scale set in place.
For example, an officer in NSDCD on level 8 step 1 (Assistant Superintendent Cadre) salary is about N121,000 while inspectorate Cadre on level 7 is about N69,000.

As known based on education level, graduates are placed on level 8, HND holders are placed on level 7, medical doctors are placed on level 12, and lawyers with master’s degrees are placed on level 9.
