The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is offering grants of up to N500M using the TIES Undergraduate and Graduate Grant in an effort to lift millions of Nigerians from poverty and unemployment.

Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Program (TIES)
TIES works in partnership with universities and polytechnics in Nigeria to unleash the potential of graduates’ entrepreneurs (grad-preneurs).
The Scheme is intended to change the mindset of undergraduates and graduate students from pursuing white-collar jobs to a new system of entrepreneurship development and economic development.

This scheme aims to create new financing models that support economic growth, promote the entrepreneurship ecosystem and provide more jobs.
The entire process’s aim is to make new jobs readily available for graduates and to reduce the rate of unemployment which equally reduces the poverty level in the country.

Grants- TIES Undergraduate and Graduate Grant (up To N150 Million)
The top five (5) Nigerian polytechnics and universities with the best entrepreneurial ideas or pitches shall be awarded as shown below:
First place – N150.0 million
Second place – N120.0 million
Third place – N100.0 million
Fourth place – N80.0 million
Fifth place – N50.0 million
The grants shall be in the following areas:
Science and technology
Creative industry
Information technology
Agribusiness
Eligibility for the TIES Undergraduate and Graduate Grant
To be eligible for participation in the CBN TIES Undergraduate and Graduate Grant (N500m), a graduate or undergraduate must meet the following requirements in order to receive the proposed grant.
Applicants must hold a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Certificate (Discharge or Exemption letter)
As evidence of entrepreneurship training, you must have a certificate from a university or polytechnic.
Applicants must be graduates of Nigerian universities or polytechnics
Must not be more than 7 years of post-NYSC
Must hold a First Degree Certificate (BSc, HND, or it is equivalent)
