Coming to us is the information that the Federal Government has approved the instant disbursement of the Fertilizer Subsidy Fund to smallholder vulnerable farmers in Nigeria.

This means that all the shortlisted farmers have been included in the FMARD’s database in conjunction with the ADP staff, under the AFJP and ESP respectively.

To apply for the FMARD benefit or view application status you are to use the official website https://fmard.gov.ng/
Based on the information provided by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, they have started the payment of the first batch of the Fertilizer Subsidy Grant to qualified AFJP farmers.

This information also showed that those farmers who are without banks accounts or do not have their BVN linked to their bank accounts will have to do that before or on 7th July 2021.
FMARD AFJP Farmers Grant 2021 Disbursement
According to the published information, the disbursement will be done in batches and this begins with batch A (this covers 1,209,143 farmers and the total budget of #6,154,802,000)
The aim of this fund is to help small-scale farmers with no capital to be able to get fertilizer in the open market to grow.
Mr. Andrew Kwasari, The Senior Special Assistant for President on Agriculture also showered his appreciation to the Federal Government of Nigeria for this.
